During the 1986-87 season, Bill Piggott and his Board of Directors institutred the Outstanding Service Award to begin the task of recognizing ski club members who, year after year, give their energy, time, and enthusiasm to the club. Members are nominated by the Board of Directors and voted on by secret ballot by the board. Nominations are made with the following criteria in mind: number of years in the club, number of committees chaired or events run, length of service, and offices held.
